National Doctors’ Day, celebrated annually on March 30, shares our appreciation for the physicians who positively impact the lives of millions of Americans every single day.

The March 30 date commemorates the first time a physician used an anesthetic during surgery in 1842. The recognition was first celebrated in 1933 by the wife of a prominent Georgia doctor, and today it is permanently marked on our calendars as a day to express our profound gratitude for the contributions physicians make to the healthcare profession and to the communities they serve.

At SageWest Health Care, doctors lead the dedicated teams overseeing patient care, from critical outpatient clinic visits to hospital admissions and through discharge. Their incredible clinical skill, expertise, and passion for healing provide hope – and in dire cases, a lifeline – to individuals often experiencing their darkest hours.
