CEO John Whiteside message:
At SageWest in Lander and Riverton, we strive each day to make a positive impact on the health of our families, friends and neighbors who come to see us at our hospitals. We want you to be well and live well – as our branding says, that’s why we’re here. Most of us, as healthcare professionals, chose this service because of how much we value caring for those within our own communities. With each life we save or limb we mend, we know each and every day we get to fulfill our calling of serving others. Promoting the health and well-being of the Fremont County communities is a responsibility we cherish and approach with the utmost responsibility. As this report summarizes, in the process of fulfilling our most meaningful purpose of delivering better health and wellness, we make an even bigger impact as a key community leader. Thank you for choosing SageWest, and for allowing us to
be your partners in better health for days to come.
2022 SUCCESS SPOTLIGHT
In 2022, we provided more than $20 million in services to those in need but without the means to pay.
Inviting the best possible providers into our community and supporting them is essential to ensuring access to high-quality care. In 2022, we added 22 affiliated providers in cardiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, infectious disease, orthopedics, pediatrics, psychiatry, psychology, radiology, and women’s health.
By continually investing in our facilities, we’re helping to ensure that we continue to meet our community’s healthcare needs. Last year, we spent $1.4 million in capital improvements, including investments in new
patient beds, patient medication infusion pump and monitoring systems, telephone and IT server systems, and sidewalk replacements.
We strive to create an environment where talent is recognized, job satisfaction is valued and our employees can effectively use their skills to provide high-quality care and service. In 2022, we distributed $34.7 million to approximately 300 employees.
We are proud to be a leader in our communities, and our dedication to ensuring fiscal responsibility extends both to our hospital and to our community. Last year, we paid $2.35 million in provider, payroll, property and sales taxes.
