Fremont County, Wyo. (August 13, 2025) – SageWest Health Care proudly announces Women’s Health Registered Nurse Sarah Heinrich as its nominee for the 2025 Monarch Caring and Community Award, the most prestigious honor bestowed to caregivers across ScionHealth’s nationwide network. This award celebrates exceptional caregivers who elevate patient care, empower colleagues, and make a lasting difference in their communities.
ScionHealth, SageWest’s parent company, operates 80 hospitals in 28 states and employs more than 21,000 dedicated professionals. Among this expansive team, Sarah stands out as a beacon of compassion, leadership, and innovation.
“Sarah’s commitment to her patients and peers reflects the very spirit of this award,” said John Whiteside, CEO of SageWest Health Care. “She is a steady presence in our Women’s Health Unit—quick to act, compassionate in the face of hardship, and driven to ensure every mother and newborn receives the best care possible. We are incredibly proud to nominate her.”
Since joining SageWest as a new graduate from the nationally recognized Central Wyoming College Nursing Program, Sarah has become an indispensable member of the obstetrics team. Whether transitioning to night shifts to meet community needs or mentoring new nurses, she consistently goes above and beyond.
Sarah has also driven innovative efforts to strengthen maternal care, leading to the development of individualized care plans for mothers facing complex challenges. She has partnered with health agencies to broaden access to lactation consultant services and championed the extension of maternal support programs for pregnant individuals involved in the legal system. Sarah is described by colleagues as someone who “never runs from difficult conversations” and “makes the workplace brighter with her dedication and integrity.” Her problem-solving instincts, caring demeanor, and visionary approach to care continue to shape the future of the Women’s Health Unit at SageWest.
Sarah will join 80 fellow finalists from across ScionHealth this fall at the ScionHealth Caregiver Summit in Louisville—home to the company’s corporate headquarters—for a special celebration honoring their outstanding contributions.
